Hello!
I’m Joe Genau and I have served as the Pastor of Edgewood Presbyterian church in Homewood since 2014. Prior to being called to Edgewood, I worked as a Chaplain at Children’s of Alabama in downtown Birmingham. I’m originally from New York and took a bus, a ferry, and a subway to get to high school. I love baseball, cooking, and anything in which my natural silliness can emerge. I was part of the group that got UKirk Birmingham off the ground and have accidentally discovered that campus ministry is part of my soul. I love laughing over meals, trying to make scripture meaningful in worship, and learning constantly from our students.
